hope that last bit turns out to be true...
So anyway, my worn out mk1 Fiat Strada was to be given an adventure of
a lifetime - a chance to make it home to Turin
with myself and co-pilot Mark on board. The hope was to save it from an
undignified end - a scrapyard somewhere in the North of England, and return
it to the Lingotto Fiat Factory.
Periwinkle, for was it's name, was reluctant at best - rarely getting
a hundred miles on the clock before some mechanical failure would occur.
Not the best vehicle then, for tackling the Alps. But now it was going
home - perhaps it would just try a little bit harder not to breakdown?
